Description
Journey through the Amazon Rainforest, the world's largest salt flat, and unique South American landscapes. This tour will take us through Bolivia, Chile, and finally to the heart of Rapa Nui (Easter Island), in Oceania.
We begin by exploring Bolivia, a country with vibrant culture and largely unexplored landscapes, including the breathtaking Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat. The journey continues through the spectacular natural scenery of the Altiplano and the Atacama Desert in Chile.
The adventure culminates on Rapa Nui, known as the "navel of the world" or Te Pito o Te Henua, a triangular island where the ancient Rapa Nui culture erected the mysterious Moai, guardians of their history and traditions.
Here, we'll also admire unique landscapes like the Rano Kau volcanic crater and relax on the beautiful Anakena Beach, one of the island's most iconic spots. An unforgettable trip filled with nature, culture, and history. 🌎✈️
Itinerary & Details
📌Day 1: We leave home. Arrival in La Paz, Bolivia.✈️
Arrival in La Paz, where our local guide will welcome us and accompany us as we begin this great adventure. Transfer to the hotel and a brief information session about the trip and the activities for the next few days.Depending on the arrival time, we will have time to explore some of the city's iconic landmarks, such as the traditional Witches' Market, the popular Sagárnaga Street, or visit the historic Basilica of San Francisco.
Optionally, we can also attend the famous Cholitas Wrestling, a very popular cultural spectacle in the city.
📌Day 2: La Paz City Tour
Today we will explore the city of La Paz, combining culture, history, and urban landscapes. We will begin with a ride on La Paz's famous cable cars, enjoying unique panoramic views of the city and the valley.
During the tour, we will visit the main attractions:
- Plaza Murillo
- La Paz Cathedral
- Government Palace
- Church of San Francisco
- Replica of the Tiwanaku Temple
- Quilli Quilli Viewpoint
- Museum of Local Customs
This tour will allow you to appreciate the architecture, traditions, and cultural richness that make La Paz a unique city in the world.
📌Day 3: Trip from La Paz to Tiwanaku - Copacabana
Today we will delve into pre-Incan history by visiting Tiwanaku, an archaeological site dating back to approximately 800 BC. There we will explore its impressive constructions and artifacts:
- Tiahuanaco Monoliths
- Gate of the Sun
- Bennett Monolith
- Akapana Pyramid
- Kalasasaya Temple
- Tiahuanaco Museum
Then we will continue our journey to Copacabana, where we will spend the night and enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful town on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
📌Day 4: Copacabana - Isla del Sol
Today we'll sail across the majestic Lake Titicaca towards Isla del Sol, considered a sacred place by Andean cultures. From the island, we'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the lake and its surroundings.
There, we'll be welcomed by local residents and stay in their homes, learning about their ancestral traditions and customs. The island is divided into three communities:
- Yumani in the south
- Challa, with its white sand beach on the central east coast
- Challapampa, near the northern tip of the island
- In the evening, we'll spend time with the community and enjoy a typical regional dinner.
- Overnight in basic accommodation.🛌

📌Day 5: Isla del Sol - Copacabana - La Paz
After enjoying a memorable night, we'll wake up refreshed. After breakfast, we'll take a local boat back to Copacabana, where we'll visit the Church of Our Lady of Candelaria, a beautiful Moorish-Baroque style church. We'll also explore its artisan market, full of color and local traditions.
In the mid-afternoon, we'll depart for La Paz, where we'll check into our hotel.

📌Day 6: La Paz - Uyuni - Colchani - Fish Island - Jirira
The adventure begins in Uyuni around 10:30 a.m., as we venture into the breathtaking Salar de Uyuni. Our first stop will be at the famous Train Cemetery, where old trains from the last century were abandoned and now offer a unique backdrop for photographs.
We will continue to Colchani, a small village where we will observe the traditional salt processing methods, which, along with tourism, is one of the community's main economic resources. Afterward, we will head to Coquesa, located on the edge of the salt flats, where we can spend the night in houses adapted by local residents with basic amenities to accommodate visitors.
📌Day 7: Jirira - San Juan
After breakfast, we'll head to the Tunupa Volcano to enjoy a viewpoint offering spectacular views of the area. Aboard our 4x4 Land Cruisers, we'll explore these rugged landscapes, stopping at the famous Incahuasi Island (Fish Island).
On the island, inhabited by small populations of chinchillas and their families, we'll marvel at the hundreds of giant cacti that emerge from the salt flats, despite the lack of water. We'll enjoy a local lunch before continuing our journey to the village of San Juan, where we'll spend the night in the homes of local families, experiencing authentic life on the Altiplano.
📌Day 8: San Juan - Lagunas - Laguna Colorada
After breakfast, we'll continue our journey towards Laguna Colorada, enjoying the unique landscapes of the Bolivian Altiplano along the way. We'll pass by the Ollagüe Volcano, an active volcano, and explore high-altitude lagoons like Cañapa, among others.
At midday, we'll stop for lunch and resume our journey, crossing the Siloli Desert, where we'll see the famous rock formation known as the Stone Tree. In the afternoon, we'll arrive at Laguna Colorada, located within the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Park, where we'll stroll around and observe large colonies of Andean flamingos.

📌Day 9: Trip from Laguna Colorada - Laguna Verde - San Pedro
We'll start the day very early to make the most of our visit to the Sol de Mañana Geysers, an impressive natural spectacle. Then we'll head to the Polques Hot Springs, where we can enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing our tour.
We will continue to the White and Green Lagoons, located at the foot of the imposing Licancabur Volcano, admiring their unique colors and landscapes. After this experience, we will cross the border into Chile and descend to San Pedro de Atacama, an oasis in the middle of the driest desert in the world.

📌Day 10: San Pedro de Atacama
The morning will be dedicated to relaxing and enjoying this picturesque oasis in the Chilean desert. You can arrange optional activities according to your preferences, such as walks through the town, excursions to the surrounding area, or simply rest and enjoy the unique desert landscape. Overnight in San Pedro de Atacama.

📌Day 11: San Pedro de Atacama Calama - Santiago, Chile Valparaíso
In the morning, we will take a flight from Calama to Santiago, Chile. Upon arrival, we'll transfer to Valparaíso, enjoying the contrasting landscapes: from the arid Atacama Desert to the cool Pacific coast, famous for its colorful architecture and hills covered in street art.

📌Day 12: Valparaíso Vineyards to Santiago, Chile
We will tour Valparaíso, known for its colorful hillside houses and historical charm. We will visit La Sebastiana, the former home of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, now a museum, offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The city displays a strong influence of 19th-century European architecture.
In the afternoon, we will return to Santiago, Chile to visit the Casa Blanca vineyards, where we will learn about the Chilean wine production process and have the opportunity to taste its varieties.
📌Day 13: Santiago City Tour
We will explore Santiago, Chile, visiting its main monuments and cultural attractions. We will visit the Plaza de Armas, the Palacio de La Moneda (Presidential Palace), Cerro San Cristóbal with its breathtaking views of the city and the Andes Mountains, as well as the historic and modern neighborhoods that reflect the rich architectural and cultural heritage of the Chilean capital.
📌Day 14: Santiago to Easter Island. Visit the traditional dances of Rapa Nui.
After our flight to Easter Island, we will receive a warm welcome and be transferred to the hotel to settle in and rest. In the evening, we will enjoy a unique cultural show, where we will learn about the traditional dances of the Rapa Nui people and their ancestral customs. We will also have the opportunity to witness a spectacular sunset among the iconic Moai, guardians of the island and symbols of its mysterious history.
📌Day 15: History of the Moai
We will explore Easter Island, known for its rocky coastline and few sandy beaches, including the famous Anakena Beach, where, according to legend, King Hotu Matu'a, founder of the island people, arrived to establish the first settlements.
We will explore the ancient quarry of Rano Raraku Volcano, where the impressive Moai were sculpted, and visit Ahu Akahanga and Ahu Tongariki, the largest group of Moai on the island. We will also discover Te Pito Kura, home to the largest Moai ever transported, and the enigmatic magnetic stones.
We will end the day at Anakena Beach, enjoying its white sand, turquoise sea, and the ancient charm that surrounds this magical island.
📌Day 16: Rapa Nui Village, Rano Kau Crater, Ahu Vinapu
We will delve into the ancestral culture of Rapa Nui. We will begin at Ahu Vinapu, famous for its enigmatic wall built using Inca techniques, and then ascend to the Rano Kau Crater, offering one of the most spectacular views on the island.
We will continue to the Orongo Ceremonial Village, where we will learn about the legendary Birdman competition, a key element of the ancestral social organization. We will visit Puna Pau, the quarry where the moai headdresses were crafted, and Ahu Akivi, with its seven moai perfectly aligned facing the ocean.
We will end the day exploring the Ana Te Pahu Volcanic Cave, discovering the natural secrets held by this unique island.
📌Day 17: Easter Island to Santiago
After checking out of the hotel, at 12:30 pm we will transfer to Rapa Nui Airport for our return flight to Santiago at 2:45 pm.
We will arrive at Santiago Airport at 9:15 pm, bringing to a close this unforgettable experience, full of adventure, culture, and memories that will last a lifetime.
