We'll also explore the spectacular Colca Canyon, considered one of the deepest canyons on the planet, and the majestic Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world.
Finally, we'll arrive in historic Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire. There, we'll explore its charming streets, the breathtaking Rainbow Mountain, and culminate our journey with a visit to the extraordinary citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the world's most iconic wonders.

Itinerary & Details

📌Day 1: Arrival in Lima
Departure from Arequipa Airport to Lima. Upon arrival at the airport, our local team will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Depending on your arrival time, we will take a short tour of modern Lima. During the tour, we will visit iconic landmarks such as Kennedy Park, a popular cultural and tourist space, as well as the famous Pizza Street in the Miraflores district. During the tour, you will have free time to enjoy the city's atmosphere and have dinner if you wish

📌Day 2: Lima City Tour - Paracas
After breakfast at the hotel, we will begin a tour of Lima, exploring both its colonial history and its modern side. During the city tour, we will visit iconic landmarks such as San Martín Square, the Plaza Mayor of Lima, the Government Palace of Peru, the City Hall, and the Lima Cathedral, where the remains of the conquistador Francisco Pizarro are located.

At the end of the visit, we will begin our journey south along the Pan-American Highway towards Paracas. During the trip, we will stop at the southern beaches to enjoy a delicious traditional Peruvian dish, with meat or vegetarian options available.

 Along the way, there will also be an opportunity to stop at local markets to buy fresh fruit or drinks. Upon arrival at the hotel in Paracas, the rest of the afternoon will be free to relax or leisurely explore this charming coastal town.

📌Day 3: Paracas - Ballestas Islands - Nazca
After breakfast, we will begin a boat excursion to the famous Ballestas Islands, located off the coast of Paracas. During the boat trip, we will explore the bay and observe the Paracas Candelabra, an enigmatic geoglyph etched into the sand dunes that remains a mystery to researchers.

Along the way, we'll also see colonies of sea lions and numerous guano birds that inhabit these islands, creating one of the most spectacular natural landscapes on the Peruvian coast.

After the visit, we'll continue our journey to Nazca. En route, there's an opportunity to stop at a local winery and visit the impressive Huacachina Oasis, one of the most picturesque spots in the Peruvian desert.

 Upon arrival in Nazca, we'll attempt to fly over the famous Nazca Lines. If conditions don't permit, the flight will be rescheduled for the following day.

📌Day 4: Nazca - Arequipa
Today we'll have the opportunity to fly over the famous Nazca Lines, a collection of mysterious geoglyphs declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the air, you can appreciate giant figures etched into the desert, representing animals and geometric shapes, such as a monkey, a spider, and other enigmatic figures.

If you did not take the flight yesterday, the overflight will take place this morning. Afterward, we will continue our journey by road to the city of Arequipa, traveling approximately 550 kilometers through the breathtaking landscapes of southern Peru. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and time to rest.

 Note: It is recommended to have breakfast after the overflight. Due to weather conditions, flights may be rescheduled or canceled for safety reasons.

📌Day 5: Arequipa City Tour
After breakfast, we'll take a tour of Arequipa, known as the "White City" for the beauty of its sillar (volcanic stone) buildings. Located 2,325 meters above sea level, it's the second most important city in the country after Lima.

During the tour, we'll appreciate the stunning natural surroundings of the city, dominated by the majestic volcanoes Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu.

The city tour includes a visit to Arequipa's Plaza de Armas, home to the imposing Arequipa Cathedral. We'll also visit the historic Santa Catalina Monastery, one of Peru's most fascinating religious complexes.

 We'll continue to the traditional San Camilo Market, where you can enjoy a wide variety of local products and flavors. The tour also includes a visit to the dome of the Church of San Ignacio, famous for its decorative art, and the beautiful cloisters of the Society of Jesus.

📌Day 6: Arequipa - Chivay - Canyon de Colca
Very early in the morning, we will depart from Arequipa on a scenic four-hour drive to the breathtaking Colca Canyon, considered one of the deepest canyons in the world.

During the journey, we will cross the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, passing through the Pampa Cañahuas area, a natural habitat for vicuñas, alpacas, and other Andean species. Along the way, we will also reach one of the highest points of the route, located at approximately 4,900 meters above sea level.

We will observe ancient pre-Columbian agricultural terraces that are still used today by local communities, descendants of the Collagua people.

 The Colca Valley is also an ideal destination for those who enjoy nature and adventure activities. At the end of the tour, we will arrive in the picturesque town of Chivay, where we will spend the night.

📌Day 7: Cabanaconde Trekking to the Colc Canyon (Optional: Trekking 2 days)
After breakfast, we will depart from the hotel towards the famous Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, located about 13 kilometers away. This is one of the best places to witness the majestic flight of the Andean condor and admire the impressive depth of the Colca Canyon.

After enjoying the scenery, we will continue to the charming town of Cabanaconde. Along the way, we will stop at various natural viewpoints, from where you can observe the traditional villages of the valley and their ancient agricultural terraces.

We will also have the opportunity to take short walks in the area to appreciate the natural beauty of the valley up close and learn about the daily life of its inhabitants. This will be an ideal opportunity to discover their customs, traditions, and the agricultural techniques still practiced in these Andean lands.

In the afternoon, we'll stroll through the peaceful town of Cabanaconde before returning to the hotel to rest.

📌Day 8: From the Colca Canyon to Lake Titicaca (Optional Trekking) Llachon

After breakfast, we'll continue our journey, leaving behind the impressive Colca Canyon and heading towards the majestic Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world.

 Along the way, we'll make several stops at natural viewpoints and small villages in the Colca Valley, where we can continue enjoying the Andean landscapes and the traditional life of the local communities.

 In the afternoon, we'll arrive at the Llachon Peninsula, where we'll have a hands-on tourism experience. We'll stay in traditional community homes, sharing an authentic atmosphere with the locals and experiencing their customs and way of life firsthand.

📌Day 9: Llachon - Trekking to Pachata - Lake Titicaca, Uros Titino, Taquile Island - Return to Puno

Very early in the morning, we will hike to Pachatata, considered a sacred place by the Andean communities, where traditional ceremonies of gratitude to Pachamama, or Mother Earth, are held every August. From this point, we will also enjoy beautiful views of Lake Titicaca.

Afterward, we will return to the community of Llachon for breakfast. Later, we will board our private boat to begin an excursion on the lake, visiting the traditional floating islands of the Uros, constructed from totora reeds and inhabited by communities that preserve ancient traditions.

 We will continue to Taquile Island, famous for its ancestral culture and its handcrafted textiles, considered among the best in the world. Finally, we will return to the city of Puno, where we will spend the night at the hotel.

📌Day 10: Puno - Cusco, Rainbow Mountain

Very early in the morning, after breakfast, we will begin our journey from Puno towards the Cusco region. During the trip, we will enjoy the Andean landscapes and make a stop at La Raya, the point that marks the natural border between the two regions.

We will continue our route to the Checacupe junction, from where we will take the road to the impressive Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca.

 Our transport will take us to the starting point of the hike, located approximately 4,700 meters above sea level. From there, we will begin the ascent to the main viewpoint, with the option of completing part of the trek on horseback. Upon reaching an altitude of over 5,000 meters, we will be able to contemplate one of the most amazing natural landscapes in the Andes, famous for its spectacular mineral colors.

 After enjoying this unique experience, we will return to Raqchi, where we will spend the night in a community home, sharing a cultural experience with the local people.

📌Day 11: Raqui - Cuzco

After breakfast, we will visit the impressive archaeological complex of Raqchi, an ancient sanctuary built during the reign of the Inca Pachacuti and dedicated to the creator god Viracocha. This site stands out for its imposing Inca structures and its great historical value within the Andean world.

 We will continue our journey to Cusco, crossing beautiful landscapes of the Peruvian highlands. Along the way, we will pass by the tranquil Lake Wacarpay, where you can appreciate spectacular views of the mountains reflected in its waters.

 Next, we'll visit the picturesque town of Andahuaylillas, where we'll see the famous Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, considered the "Sistine Chapel of the Americas" for the artistic richness of its decoration and its impressive polychrome ceiling.

 During the tour, we'll enjoy a buffet lunch at a country restaurant, where you can sample the best of the regional cuisine. Finally, we'll continue our journey to the city of Cusco.

📌Day 12: Cuzco City Tour
After breakfast, you'll have the morning free to rest and acclimatize to the altitude of Cusco. In the afternoon, we'll begin a guided tour of the main attractions of this historic city.

During the city tour, we'll visit the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, the imposing Cusco Cathedral, and the ancient Coricancha, known as the Temple of the Sun, one of the most important religious centers of the Inca Empire.

The tour will continue around the city, visiting several Inca archaeological sites, including Qenqo, Tambomachay, and Puka Pukara.

Finally, we will explore the impressive Sacsayhuaman, a majestic fortress strategically built on a hill overlooking the city. This site is famous for its enormous, perfectly fitted stone blocks, an extraordinary example of Inca engineering.

 At the end of the tour, we will return to the hotel.

📌Day 13: Cuzco - Ollantaytambo - Sacred Valley
After breakfast, we will begin our excursion to the breathtaking Sacred Valley of the Incas, a region renowned for its Andean landscapes, fertile farmlands, and great historical significance during the Inca Empire.

During the tour, we will visit traditional valley towns such as Pisac, famous for its colorful and traditional artisan market. We will also pass through towns like Calca, Yucay, and Urubamba, where we can admire the ancient Inca agricultural terraces known as andenes.

After lunch, we will continue to Ollantaytambo, one of the most important archaeological sites in the valley. This ancient Inca center served administrative and agricultural functions.

📌Day 14: Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu
After breakfast, we will begin our journey to Aguas Calientes, the picturesque town located at the foot of the majestic Machu Picchu, rediscovered in 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham.

From Aguas Calientes, we will board a bus that, in an approximately 25-minute ride along a winding road through the mountains, will take us to the entrance of this impressive Inca citadel, considered one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

We will take a guided tour of approximately three hours through this extraordinary historical sanctuary. During the tour, we will explore its temples, terraces, and ceremonial sites, while the guide explains the astonishing level of engineering achieved by the Incas: their precise stone constructions, sophisticated hydraulic systems, and staircases carved directly into the mountain rock.

 We will also visit the famous Intihuatana, an enigmatic ceremonial structure known as "the place where the Sun is tied," which is believed to have served as a solar calendar used by the Incas to regulate planting and harvesting.

📌Day 15: Aguas Calientes, Ollantaytambo, Maras, and Moray
After breakfast, we will have the opportunity to wake up early to enjoy a beautiful sunrise in Aguas Calientes. Afterward, we will board the train to Ollantaytambo, taking a scenic journey through the valley and following the course of the imposing Urubamba River, also known as the Vilcanota or Vilcamayo.

Upon arrival, our tourist transport will be waiting to continue the excursion to two of the most amazing attractions in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

First, we will visit the impressive Maras Salt Mines, a network of thousands of salt ponds used since pre-Incan times, creating a unique mountain landscape.

Next, we'll visit Moray, a fascinating complex of circular terraces that the Incas used as an agricultural laboratory to experiment with different microclimates and crops.

After the visit, we'll return to the city of Cusco, where we'll spend the night at the hotel.

📌Day 16: Cusco - Free Day
After breakfast, enjoy a free day in the historic city of Cusco, one of the most important cultural gems of the Andes and the former capital of the Inca Empire.

This day is ideal for exploring the city at your own pace, visiting museums, discovering streets steeped in history, or savoring the local cuisine. We recommend visiting the House of Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, which houses an interesting collection of artifacts from the pre-Inca and Inca periods.

You can also stroll through the charming San Blas neighborhood, famous for being the artists' and artisans' quarter. There you will find workshops, galleries, and the renowned Pulpit of San Blas, a magnificent work of art carved in wood that stands out for its extraordinary detail.

📌Day 17: Cusco – Lima
After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer you to Cusco airport for your flight to Lima.

📌Day 18: CUSCO - PUERTO MALDONADO – ECOMAZONIA LODGE

Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, known as the biodiversity capital of Peru, our team will meet you at the airport to begin this fascinating Amazonian experience.

We will start with a brief tour of the city and then head to Puerto Capitanía, where we will board our boat to navigate the impressive Madre de Dios River. During the journey to the lodge, located about 30 kilometers from the city, we will appreciate Amazonian landscapes, rural areas dedicated to agriculture, and an extraordinary variety of flora and fauna.

Weather permitting, you may see tropical plants such as giant heliconias, as well as animals native to the region: capybaras, caimans, aquatic turtles, herons, cormorants, and various birds of prey.

Upon arrival at Ecomamazonia Lodge, you will be welcomed with a refreshing Amazonian fruit nectar before settling into your comfortable bungalow. Then, enjoy a delicious lunch in the lodge's cozy dining room, built in a rustic style that blends seamlessly with nature.

In the afternoon, we will take a guided hike to Cocha Caimán, a small lagoon where we can observe the black caiman and the white caiman, predators that inhabit these waters and are an essential part of the Amazonian ecosystem.

Upon returning to the lodge, a delicious dinner will be waiting for you. Afterward, you can relax in the bar or enjoy some time in the game room. Meanwhile, the Amazon rainforest will offer its nighttime spectacle with the natural sounds of birds and animals that inhabit this extraordinary environment.

📌Day 19: APU VICTOR LAKE TOUR – MONKEY ISLAND

The day begins deep in the rainforest with the sounds of the Amazon rainforest. At dawn, you'll hear the distinctive call of the Howler Monkey, accompanied by the symphony of tropical birds. After a nutritious breakfast, we'll begin a day full of adventure and immersion in nature.

🌿 Apu Victor Lake

 After breakfast, we'll hike along interpretive trails within the Amazon rainforest. During the hike, we'll traverse different forest ecosystems, from riparian areas to hilly zones, observing a great diversity of flora and fauna.

Along the way, our guide will identify representative Amazonian tree species such as the aguaje, mahogany, cedar, Brazil nut, copaiba, and the majestic shihuahuaco. With a bit of luck, we might spot animals in their natural habitat, such as capybaras, armadillos, iguanas, monkeys, various tropical birds, and a surprising variety of insects and butterflies.

Finally, we'll arrive at the impressive Lake Apu Victor, surrounded by swamps and giant Amazonian trees. From a panoramic viewpoint, we can observe numerous bird species, including parrots, toucans, herons, and macaws, as well as caimans, turtles, and fish that inhabit this natural ecosystem.

Upon returning to Ecomamazonia Lodge, a delicious lunch awaits us to replenish our energy.

 🐒 Monkey Island

 In the afternoon, we'll take an excursion to Monkey Island, located in the middle of the Madre de Dios River. This small natural sanctuary is home to various species of Amazonian primates, such as the capuchin monkey, the spider monkey, and the pygmy marmoset, as well as other animals like coatis, squirrels, and a wide variety of tropical birds.

The day will end with a spectacular sunset over the Amazon rainforest. Back at the lodge, we'll enjoy a delicious farewell dinner in this unique natural setting.

📌Day 20: Puerto Maldonado - Lima

After a peaceful night in the Amazon rainforest, dawn will once again be accompanied by the sounds of nature, especially the distinctive call of the howler monkey, reminding us that we are still in the heart of the Amazon.

Then we will enjoy breakfast at the Ecomamazonia Lodge before beginning our return journey, sailing along the Madre de Dios River to the city of Puerto Maldonado.

Afterward, we will transfer to the airport to board our flight to Lima, concluding this extraordinary experience exploring the coast, highlands, and rainforest of Peru
